Description
This product is a 3D Printed replica of the main shrine complex of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. This replica has been digitally recreated through laser-scanned data using 3D modeling techniques and has been printed in PLA using additive manufacturing. PLA is a kind of biodegradable plastic. This process ensures the accuracy of the replica by leaving little scope for artistic deviation from the original artifact. Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple stands on the western bank of the holy river Ganga and is one of the Jyotirlingas – The holiest of Shiva Temples. This temple has been destroyed and reconstructed several times in history with the current structure built by Maratha ruler, Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore in 1780. Since then, the monument has been standing resolute in the city of Varanasi, welcoming tens of thousands of devotees visiting for pilgrimage. The replica comes packaged inside a protective box to ensure ease of delivery and increased durability.
